Ice Cream Tour- Ohio

Air Force Museum

Today we went to the Air Force museum. We saw so many cool airplanes.  My favorite planes were the ones with cool guns on them, a lot of them had cool bombs on them. We also saw some stuff about the Wright brothers. We saw stuff about when they used the atomic bombs, that stuff was really sad, but the worst part was the stuff about the holocaust. One of the really cool planes was one that looked like an eagle. I really thought that this was cool stuff to learn. It also gave me a good start on learning about the wars.

The Animal Ark

When we went to the ark there were three floors in the ark.  We went on all of them.  When we were done We went to the camel rides. I rode a camel but the boys did not want to go. So I went alone. Then we looked at the animals. We saw kangaroos and more animals. Then we went fossil finding. I think I fond the most fossils.  Then we went and had a whole conversation with the fossil lady.  That was pretty much are day at the ark.

Pueblo Ruins

Over the last few days we have been visiting Puebloan ruins. Wupatpi was the first one we went to it was out in the middle of no where.

Sinagua in Walnut Canyon was the 2nd one we went to. The people had built in the overhangs of the cliffs in walnut canyon.

The 3rd one we went to was in Chaco canyon, many tribes had come together here so there really wasn't a general name. They had also built in the overhangs.

Aztec ruins was the 4th one we went to. This place was special because they had reconstructed a kiva, a kiva is a place where they would gather to worship like a church.

Mesa verde is  the one that we were last at. This place is special because they have like 600 cliff dwellings. We also went on a super cool tour, on the tour we climbed up a 10m ladder and crawled through a 12 foot tunnel. I thought that these places are awesome especially Mesa Verde!

The next place we went was Bryce Canyon. While we were there we took the shuttle to the sunset overlook. At the sunset overlook we went to the Navajo loop trail and hiked that until we got to the queens garden trail and hiked on that. While we were there we hike 2.3 miles.

Our third stop was the Grand Canyon national park. While we were there we saw the trail into the canyon and went on a short hike.

Aidan went down a little bit and built a sand water fall. Then we went down. The day after I went to get some Corel pink sand in a bottle.  I collect sand. I LOVE PINK!!!!!

Lizard Hunting

While we were in Utah/Arizona I saw lots of lizards. I also got a book all about them and if they are poisonous  (there is only one poisonous lizard in the U.S.A). We saw 3 or 4 kinds of them, 5 lined skink, western fence lizard (possibly),western skink, desert spiny lizard (possibly) and short-horned lizard. I love seeing the lizards and trying to catch them. This is one of my favorite things on the trip!!!!

Mojave Desert

When we were in the mojave desert there was a flash flood before we got to the campground . So the roads had a lot of dirt on them, and we had to go so slow. So when we got to the campground no one  was there. It was a great place to play Harry Potter. It was so cool. We played Harry Potter for a long time. You might think it should be hot there but because of the flash flood it was not that hot.

Exploring the redwoods-Aidan Olson

While we were in the redwoods we got to go to the avenue of the Giants. While we were there we got to climb into tree stump
We also got to crawl through a fallen tree.
We also got to climb on top of redwoods.

The Redwoods- Ahva's Thoughts

In the redwoods there were so many trees that fell down so we could climb on them  all of them . It was so much fun.there were red woods every where we go.

At the bottom of the red wood trees are nice and red.  There was a fun stump we climbed on. We could all go inside it. All three of us could fit in it.

The Redwoods

While we were in the Redwoods we got to explore a ton of trees and stumps an logs that fell over. We found one stump that was like a nest you had to climb up to it but once you got up it was amazing the inside had a hole that wasn't very deep but it was cool to go into the hole.

There was also a log that had hollowed out and there was a little hole that you could climb into and come out on top of the log. I think the Redwoods is my favorite part on the trip.

Pacific Ocean

We officially made it across the country!!  It's been a busy, but very pleasant day of adventuring.  We started out in Washington visiting Wolf Haven International.  Then we took a break from driving to explore the Lewis and Clark National Park, and now we are making our way down the Oregon coast. Our feet touched the Pacific Ocean, and boy was it cold!

Wolf haven

Today we went to wolf haven a wolf sanctuary in Washington. We got to go on a tour and see many different wolves.
I was very happy that we got to see 2 Mexican gray wolves, 3 red wolves, and 6 gray wolves but we didn't see the coyotes. It was so fun!!!!!!
